Birth Injury Case Settled

Jacksonville Naval Hospital reached a $500,000 settlement yesterday with a family whose son died after a birth injury. Kendra Alcorn gave birth to twins in 2005; the first birth went well, but the second baby suffered from lack of oxygen. Lack of oxygen is a serious birth injury and it caused the child to go blind and have cerebral palsy. The child has since passed away from the birth injury.
